When the sunlight is incident upon the surface of solar cell, the electrons present in the valence band absorb energy and generate electricity, referred to as photovoltaic effect. The electricity generated by solar cell is stored in battery under the control of controller. The battery under the control of controller can supply the power to the LCD screen and mobile phone which helps to save energy.
